Women health Climate was initially a collective of French businesswomen’s networks that took advantage of COP21 in Paris in 2015 and launched a call to alert decision-makers on the impacts of climate change on women and their health. At the time, this collective made the decision to publish a white paper bringing together testimonials-findings on the consequences of climate change on women and their living conditions. COP after COP, the white paper was enriched by many testimonies (around 80) and many debates through international workshops and conferences. Additional networks and NGO’s joined the initiative including sustainable start-ups and bigger companies concerned by SDG’s and climate change impact.
Women Health Climate aims to bring its network, experts, digital influencers to the coalition to propose and promote incentives to reduce climate change impact in order to reach the SDG 2030 agenda. By 2030, Women Health Climate hopes that the circularity of the 17 sustainable development goals will have operated all over the world.
Women Health Climate is member of the French delegation as civil society for UN CSW since 2018 and has joined Generation equality coalitions in 2021.
We are proud to share our new book written with the feminist action coalition for climate justice (FACJ) coalition : 55 stories of change.
